Perhaps the more important question is how do you achieve success? I believe quite strongly that you do not find success but instead you must make success. We have power over our lives especially when it comes to setting goals and achieving goals. What do you believe? How do you find success?

I love quotes about life and I love funny quotes. I love inspirational quotes and motivational quotes as well as famous quotes and obscure quotes.

I have spent many years collecting quotes and sayings because I find quotations inspire and motivate me, help get through tough times (or sometimes just difficult days) and frequently make me laugh. There is nothing I admire more than someone with the ability to come up with just the right words at the right time — not one of my skills which may be why I admire it so much.

I can’t resist sharing quotes with my friends as well as random strangers. After all who doesn’t enjoy good quotes?

Now that Noah is in third grade we have found this book a great springboard for writing.

I want a portable DVD player for my birthday

We only have one television set in our house -- and really for a family of three that is plenty. My theory has always been that if we buy another TV then we will simply watch more television and is there anyone who NEEDS to watch more TV? Also, when I have free time or (more often) am just too tired to enjoy reading but need to unwind a bit after work or before bed then I like to watch a little television. Of course, truth be told, I don't actually watch much in the way of TV. More frequently I watch DVDs. Of course the problem is that my husband and son haven't gotten used to negotiating between themselves for TV and game time -- which leaves me out in the cold. This is why I have decided that I want a portable DVD player for my birthday present this year -- I think it is a great birthday gift idea. Read on for my reasons!

Happier with this month's payout

I celebrated my Squidoo anniversary on March 11 and that was a happy day with many congratulations from my Squidoo pals and fans but that warm fuzzy feeling lasted all of four days until we received our January 2011 Squidoo earnings.

Learning the alphabet

Learning the alphabet is not difficult for most children as long as you making learning their alphabet letters fun and regularly work on the skills. There is no order to teach alphabet letters. In fact, while your child is first learning the alphabet do not worry about order at all. Teach each individual letter of the alphabet as it is much more important that the child understand the shape and sound of each letter. After they have that alphabetic principle mastered you can help them worry about the order of the alphabet letters.

Of course, truth be told, I don't actually watch much in the way of TV. More frequently I watch DVDs. Of course the problem is that my husband and son haven't gotten used to negotiating between themselves for TV and game time -- which leaves me out in the cold. This is why I have decided that I want a portable DVD player for Mother's Day this year -- I think it is a great Mother's Day gift. Read on for my reasons!

Great book for children & creative writing prompt

The Hello, Goodbye Window has resided on my son's bookshelf for years. I think we bought the book when he was in kindergarten. We fell in love with it from the first. It is just a delightful, heart-warming and fun book for children. We enjoyed reading it many times. Then as Noah became a reader himself he found this book easily accessible. Now that Noah is in fourth grade we have found this book a great springboard for writing.
