How to write a love letter
Writing a love letter is hard -- even for professional writers -- precisely because there is so much at stake -- or at least the fact that we perceive there is so much at stake. In reality, if we are truly in love and in a committed relationship that relationship is not at stake, but spending a few hours agonizing over a blank piece of paper or computer screen can make it feel like it is!Read more at www.squidoo.com
So, if writing a love letter is so very difficult then why do it?
- We need to tell our loved ones how we feel about them. Often we throw around a quick and easy "I love you" without thinking when we say good night or good bye, but when was the last time you really told the most important people in your lives how you really feel about them?
- Love letters are easy on the budget. So many commercial Valentine's Day gifts are expensive but ultimately a lot more meaningless than a personalized love letter.
- Love letters are easy on the environment. If you create a digital love letter then it is really easy on the environment but even a paper one can be pretty environmentally friendly -- especially if you use recycled paper.
